The first time I ever saw Half Dome I was completely blown away by the sheer magnitude of it’s size. Depending on the time of day and weather, the granite rocks of Half Dome can express so many different moods. This photo was taken from the first time that I had ever been to Yosemite National Park during mid-fall. The photo was shot at Washburn Point off of Glacier Point Road during dusk. I love the way the orange colors turned out hitting the peaks of Half Dome and Clouds Rest in the background. The way the light hits brings out the details carved by glaciers over time into Half Dome.
